Good morning all! Happy Thanksgiving!
We are in Kennewick this morning and headed to Spokane soon. Hope you are all traveling safe or hanging in close. 🙂
Today’s scripture:
2 Corinthians 9:8,10-12New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
8 And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.
10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us; 12 for the rendering of this ministry not only supplies the needs of the saints but also overflows with many thanksgivings to God.
Dear reader, today I am giving thanks for YOU! I feel so blessed and honored to know that you have let me into your life in this way. Together we are journeying into life together. I love hearing you share what moves you and what you think about scripture. Our extended Advent is so refreshing to me. What a gift to share with you! I know that you give time and love to our journey together. You actually open the email! How awesome is that! Or you click on to the blog. I am not lost on the fact that you have many choices during the day of how you spend your time.
We are abundant in our life together. Today I give thanks but also think pretty constantly about people that don’t have…love, assurance, food, shelter, a community to surround them and encouragement to grow. Corinthians reminds us what God has given, the thanks we get to give and still the call to sow and share.
Today may it be a mix of all of the above. I pray that you have support right next to you and lovely food today. I pray that you might expand the meaning of family. My hope would be for thanks to come to the table and for God to surround you in great abundance.
Peace today.
