A new year…but it feels like its been at least three…

It has been a while since I have been on the blog. There are some reasons for this but hopefully I am back more often. For those of you checking almost every day…..thank you for staying tuned and hopefully I will be able to contribute more.

Today Ana and I went out to lunch while little munchkin is at daycare and talked about our year as we look forward to this new year before us. We both made the comment that gee, it certainly feels like more than one year happened in this year….

We had a baby, that baby grew and grew, our parents visited in Berlin and now in Portland, we moved across the world. We have had the one year bday party, Christmas, and New Years in this past week plus my mom’s bday party (the big 70). We have visited the Baltic Sea and the Oregon Coast, Serbia and all around Oregon. We have set up home here while remembering how our home morphed in Berlin. We have been speaking a variety of languages all over. Our little guy keeps changing and growing and recently began three days of childcare a week in our neighborhood at a great Montessori style Spanish speaking little childcare place.

Tadej is walking moreand more, talking more and more and is just hilarious. Every day there is something new that is happening. He loves to clap for himself when he does something. He loooovvess books and reading them over and over again. He loves music and was singing with me yesterday with great joy on his face. He loves his cousins so much and is a pretty social kiddo. He babbles all the time and while sleep isn’t his favorite thing it is getting easier.

Thank you for sticking with me this year, dear reader!

Thank you. I have been watching for this! Welcome to Oregon, loving your wife and being a Mom! Oh, and being a pastor, too. I have been rereading The Alchemist and realizing I need a new dream. What is yours? Hugs, T
