Yesterday the little guy passed the two month mark and we just can’t believe that we are already here. Ok, to be honest it has both passed by quickly and turtle pace all at once. I feel as though he has grown rapidly but also we have aged exponentially since he has appeared on the scene.

I had prepared myself for so many things about being a mom but you really can’t prepare. I am more tired than I have ever been in my life and it is a relentless kind of bone tired that I know won’t let up anytime soon. BUT T and I have bonded beyond what I could have imagined since day one. On one hand my world has grown smaller than I anticipated but on the other when he smiles, it becomes vast in different ways.

If you are a parent you are probably nodding right along and if you aren’t then you can admire but also I remember thinking…yeah yeah yeah.

All of this to say, we have made it thus far and every day is a new milestone, landmark, survival feat, and joy. I am hoping to write more soon about what that looks like as an immigrant here and we are preparing to move back to the US so there are ponderings there as well.

In the meantime, know dear reader, that I am still here. I will be writing more soon, don’t worry.
